1) Preheat your grill to 500ºF (high heat). Ensure the grill is clean and wipe the grates with a lightly oiled paper towel to prevent sticking.
2) Trim and peel the onion, slice thin strips vertically and then mince into small pieces. Set aside for garnish.
3) Grill the hot dogs turning over once and charred in spots. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes. Then open the buns and quickly toast them on the grill.
4) Spread the cream cheese on the bun, add the grilled dogs, and top with pepper relish and minced white onion.
5) Enjoy with all three picnic salads!
